5 minute watermelon sorbet

Yum Alert! 5 Minute Watermelon Sorbet

Who’s ready for a quick, easy recipe that’s as refreshing as it is cooling? Me! Yum alert! This 5 minute watermelon sorbet will leave you feeling satisfied in more ways than one.

Watermelon is super cleansing and deeply healing. According to the Medical Medium website, “watermelon is loaded with antioxidants that have the ability to neutralize free radical molecules, and aid in the prevention of chronic illnesses.”

That means that watermelon flushes out toxins in your blood, while nourishing your body with essential nutrients.

As some of you may know, I journeyed into a watermelon cleanse this month. And while the cleanse was far more challenging than I imagined, I decided to step back a bit and honor more of what my body wanted.

As it turns out, my body did not want to consume only watermelon – lol! We need so many more nutrients than that. For me, having watermelon once to twice a day during these summer months is what did the trick.

That being said, enjoy as many times a day as you’d like! So long as you are getting other yummy foods in.

Below is my recipe for the super easy 5 minute watermelon sorbet. I hope you enjoy the sorbet as much as I did!

Recipe for 5 minute watermelon sorbet:

1 cup ice

1 cup ready-to-eat watermelon (seeded)

3-4 mint leaves

1 tablespoon raw honey

1/4 lime, juiced

Add ingredients to high speed blender and blend. The sorbet is ready to eat! If you’d like more than one serving, be sure to add in equal parts ice to watermelon for a delicious treat. Best enjoyed immediately.

As always, feel free to modify the recipe according to your tastebuds. You might want more honey or lime. Experiment! See what you like best. As a side note, if you freeze it, it can get a little icy which is why it’s best to turn any extra sorbet into popsicles!

Until next time,
